Hello, I’m Viv!
I’m a wife, mother, jewellery designer maker, blogger, tea drinker, chocolate lover, qualified English teacher and dreamer.
I first started making jewellery in my early teens and still
use the very first proper jewellery making pliers I purchased for £16 over 15 years ago once it was agreed that making
jewellery was more than a ‘nine day wonder’- a phrase that my mum used often
with me and the various crafts and things I felt compelled to try and sure I’d
love and do forever! Jewellery making is perhaps the one thing I've tried that didn't turn out to be a nine day wonder! It's something that I simply cannot imagine not doing.
In early 2010, whilst on a career break from teaching following
the birth of my second child, I decided that it was time to take my jewellery
hobby business to the next level and launched Poppy Sparkles.
I’m sentimental and love celebrating, commemorating and
remembering life’s milestones and joys, big and small. It is this which has led
me to create personalised and birthstone jewellery; jewellery which
celebrates and commemorates life and its various high days and holidays from
birthdays and Baptisms, Mother’s Day to Christmas and everything in between. Pop over to my Etsy shop to
